Fol-Da-Tank Single Lane Max High-Capacity Portable Tank System
The Fol-Da-Tank SLT Max is a portable water tank that holds a lot of water without taking up much space. It's designed to fit into standard side-mounted tank racks including Zico racks so it's easy to store and transport. The special bladder inside the tank increases how much water it can hold and helps the optional built-in strainer work more efficiently. This setup creates a vacuum effect letting you pull water from as little as 1.5 inches deep before it starts drawing air.
You can use the SLT Max to turn a regular frame tank into a high-capacity tank for big industrial fires or create a 2500-gallon tank that's only 8 feet 3 inches wide narrow enough to avoid blocking traffic or sticking out past the road shoulder. There are custom sizes and setups available to fit different needs. You can place the Max Strainer inside the bladder and use it with the Max elbow or skip mounting anything to the bladder and use a standard Low Flow Strainer through the side or over the top.
Key Benefits:
- Maximum Capacity in Minimal Space β Holds up to 2500 gallons with only an 8'3" footprint.
- Smart Bladder Design β Boosts suction efficiency and minimizes air intake.

- Traffic-Friendly Dimensions β Won't block roadways or extend beyond shoulders.

-
What compliance and safety standards does the Fol-Da-Tank Single Lane Max portable tank system support?
The Fol-Da-Tank Single Lane Max portable tank system is designed to meet fire service water supply and emergency response standards commonly required by municipal, industrial, and wildland firefighting agencies. Its construction supports high-volume water storage for drafting operations in compliance with NFPA-aligned fireground practices. Materials are selected to withstand repeated exposure to water, ground contact, and field conditions. While portable tanks themselves are not individually certified devices, this system aligns with operational safety and training standards used by fire departments. Documentation is typically available to support procurement and operational planning. This compliance-oriented design supports dependable fireground performance.
-
How does the Single Lane Max system integrate into large-scale fire suppression and emergency response operations?
The Single Lane Max system integrates efficiently into large-scale water shuttle and tanker operations by providing a high-capacity, single-lane footprint optimized for rapid fill-and-dump cycles. Its design supports seamless connection with standard fire apparatus, portable pumps, and hose configurations. Standardizing this tank across response fleets simplifies training and incident command planning. The system scales well for multi-agency responses, disaster operations, and rural water supply scenarios. Compatibility with existing Fol-Da-Tank accessories enhances flexibility. This integration improves water supply reliability during extended incidents.
-
What is the total cost of ownership (TCO) and ROI for agencies investing in this high-capacity portable tank?
The Fol-Da-Tank Single Lane Max delivers a strong total cost of ownership (TCO) by offering long service life and reduced need for permanent infrastructure. Durable liner and frame components minimize repair and replacement frequency. Standardization across agencies simplifies maintenance and spare parts inventory. When used for training and real-world incidents, utilization efficiency further enhances value. This makes it a cost-effective investment for high-demand response environments.
-
What technical specifications should procurement and operations teams verify before deployment?
Key technical specifications include maximum water capacity, tank dimensions, frame construction, and liner material. Procurement teams should verify capacity aligns with operational water flow requirements and apparatus compatibility. Ground footprint and lane configuration are critical for site selection and traffic flow during operations. Liner durability and seam construction impact long-term reliability. Drain and connection compatibility should align with existing hose and pump equipment. Reviewing these specifications ensures operational readiness.
-
What setup, maintenance, and lifecycle considerations should facilities and response agencies plan for?
Agencies should plan for proper setup, inspection, and routine maintenance to ensure reliable performance. Initial deployment requires level ground preparation and trained personnel for rapid assembly. Post-use inspection of liners and frames helps identify wear before redeployment. Replacement liners and components are typically available to extend system lifespan. Including the tank system in apparatus and equipment maintenance programs supports readiness. Proper lifecycle planning ensures dependable water supply during critical incidents.
