HealthCraft’s innovative Smart-Rail makes getting out of bed easier while also providing support when sitting up or lying down. Unlike other bed assist rails, the Smart-Rail has two positions: closed and open. In the closed position (parallel to the side of the bed), the safety rail provides support for making adjustments while in bed.
In the open position, the rail pivots out from the bed and touches down to the ground to assist in moving to a standing position.
The Smart-Rail is also easily installed between your mattress and box spring, and secured tightly with a safety strap.

Installation Instructions:
1. Insert side frames into the back frame and engage spring locks.
2. Assemble side frames to the faceplate with screws and lock washers.
3. Locate frame to place pivot tube in line with your hip position when lying down. Slide support frame between box spring and mattress.
4. Secure support frame to angle iron with supplied strap.
5. Install pivot rail into a pivot tube of faceplate.
6. Set the height of rail in a locked position and secure safety latch with a hex key.
7. Slide plastic bushings onto ends of pivot rail.
8. Slide extension legs into pivot rail.
9. Set height of pivot rail in open position, align holes and install locking pins.
10. Ensure rail does not impact, interfere or compromise the use of surroundings.

What are the height ranges when the smart rail is open from the bed?
When in the open position, the rail has a height range of 27.25"/699mm to 36.25"/921mm. This allows you to set the height to what is the most comfortable setting.
Can I put a smart rail on each side on my bed?
Yes, you can (as long as your bed is big enough to place both support rails between the box spring & mattress without overlapping).
What is the limited lifetime warranty?
Products are covered by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser. Warranty excludes products that have been damaged through misuse, accidental damage, alteration, normal wear and tear, wood material and stain, or the use of corrosive or abrasive cleaning products.
