Handi Lift User's Guide
- The weight of the patient will determine the number of caregivers required to safely perform the lift. Roll the patient to one side for Handi Lift positioning.
- Place Handi Lift flat against the back of the patient.
- Roll the patient back until Handi Lift handles are exposed.
- Position the patient in the middle of the Handi Lift with weight balanced.
- Place a Handi Move under the legs of the patient.
- Caregivers positioned on each side should firmly grasp all exposed Handi Lift handles equally.
- Lift the patient straight up ensuring safe and leveraged posture by caregivers.
- Lift the patient toward bed positioning head and and upper body on bed surface.
- One caregiver moves to far side of bed and pulls patient fully onto bed surface.
- Remove the Handi Lift rolling the patient on one side and back again to position in center of bed.
