The HeartSine Pediatric Pad-Pak (PAD-PAK-02), also called the Pediatric-Pak, is the single-use cartridge that combines the battery and pediatric electrode pads for HeartSine samaritan PAD defibrillators in one unit. Stryker states the Pediatric-Pak ensures the recommended energy level is delivered for children between one and eight years of age or up to 55 pounds.

Like the adult Pad-Pak, the pediatric cartridge integrates the battery and electrodes with one expiration date and a four-year shelf life from the date of manufacture, which simplifies AED maintenance for programs that keep a pediatric option with each device.

Keeping a Pediatric Pad-Pak with a samaritan PAD extends the same AED program to pediatric readiness without a separate pediatric defibrillator.
