The interior architecture of the Protekt Supreme Support features 10 interconnected, heavy-duty air cylinders positioned laterally within an ultra-supportive protective foam cavity. Utilizing specialized Equalization Technology, these internal air cells and automatic pressure valves constantly move air across the system in immediate response to patient movement. This open-loop equilibration increases body surface contact area and instantly minimizes localized tissue interface pressure. To address microclimate and moisture accumulation, the top layer features a 1-inch thick slab of Visco Gel Polymer Technology (VGPT™) an open-cell visco memory foam infused with gel particles that draws away skin-damaging thermal loads far more efficiently than standard hospital polyurethane.
