CTPE boasts a unique combination of high-strength nylon and flexible thermoplastic elastomer ingredients, allowing you to 3D print durable objects with a semi-smooth texture that can withstand bending and twisting while exhibiting minimal stretching.
Like other Taulman nylons, white PCTPE 3D printer filament is glossy white with a medium opacity and can be dyed to achieve custom color profiles. See examples using Rit brand dye shown in the photo window of this product page. Taulman PCTPE filament is also available in our custom LulzBot Green color!
Product Features:
- PCTPE's ability to bend and twist under duress with minimal stretching is optimal for wearables, cosplay costume harnesses and props prosthetics, tubing, flexible electronics enclosures, and more.
- Using 3D modeling, you can increase the ability of PCTPE to function as a grip by designing raised surface features like ridges.
Printing Specifications:
- Special Tool Head Requirements: LulzBot Hexagon Hot End recommended
- Hot End Temperature Range: 235Ā°C
- Print Surface: PEI film is recommended with a glue stick (such as UHU brand) applied to the print surface prior to powering on your LulzBot. Maintain the print surface by powering off your LulzBot and cleaning the glue stick residue with a soft cloth and water.
