The Junkin JSA-300-B Break-Away Plastic Stretcher eliminates this compromise. Engineered with a durable Yellow High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) shell supported by a stainless steel outer rail, this stretcher splits into two nesting halves, allowing it to be strapped to a backpack for efficient transport to remote incident sites.

Once assembled, the JSA-300-B functions as a heavy-duty rescue basket capable of a 1,200 lb load. The HDPE shell provides a smooth, snag-free bottom surface ideal for sliding over snow, rock, or scree, protecting the patient from terrain impact better than open-frame litters. The fully exposed stainless steel top rail ensures compatibility with standard technical rigging bridles for high-angle evacuations. Equipped with a non-absorbent foam pad and four patient restraint straps, this stretcher offers a complete, field-ready solution for challenging extractions.
