Pulse Oximeters
Pulse oximeters are medical devices used to measure the level of oxygen in a patient's blood along with pulse rate. They facilitate rapid intervention should oxygen levels fall below or exceed the range of oxygen saturation considered safe, and alert health care workers to an erratic or unsafe pulse rate, whether too low or too high. They can be used for spot checks and are often used during surgery to monitor the patient while under anesthesia.
