Aesculap GN200 LektraFuse HF Generator, for Caiman Vessel Sealing
The Aesculap LektraFuse HF generator GN200 is the bipolar high-frequency generator of the Aesculap Caiman seal-and-cut system. Jorgensen Laboratories lists it under model J1480 as 'Aesculap Lketra Fuse HF Generator Bipolar' [sic], sold individually. Aesculap (B. Braun) documents the GN200 as a microprocessor-controlled generator that converts the mains voltage into a high-frequency alternating current for bipolar vessel sealing, used for vessel sealing and vessel division in open and minimally invasive surgery, sealing vessels of up to and including 7 mm with the Caiman instruments.
This listing is the generator only. The Caiman instruments that connect to it are separate products, listed by Jorgensen under their own codes in the J1480A series, and no Caiman instrument is included under model J1480. Per Aesculap, the generator's software recognizes the Caiman instruments and controls the sealing process, modulating power in response to real-time tissue changes to deliver a customized seal cycle for each bite of tissue, and the generator has two operating modes, Standard and Plus (increased energy output).
