Justrite PetroPad Smart Polymer Spill Pads are uniquely designed to absorb and permanently solidify hydrocarbons like oil, diesel and gas. The exclusive blend of polymers found in the PetroPad safely transforms hazardous hydrocarbons from incidental spills and leaks into a non-hazardous solid. The XL PetroPad 83988 measures 53.9 in W x 0.63 in D x 53.9 in H (137 cm W x 1.6 cm D x 137 cm H), with a capacity of up to 8 gal (30.4 L).
Rainwater flows through the absorbent pad while permanently solidifying hydrocarbons into a non-toxic solid, helping reduce harmful environmental pollution. The PetroPad uses a smart polymer embedded in a geotextile fabric. This technology quickly absorbs and solidifies hydrocarbons, trapping the pollutants inside the pad and reducing the volume of pollution and hazardous waste for disposal. The PetroPad is TCLP leachate test and EPA Paint Filter Test (9095B) compliant.
The XL PetroPad model 83988 can contain up to 8 gallons of hydrocarbons, making it an ideal incidental spill solution for generators, tower lights, fuel tanks and onsite vehicles. It works with commonly used hydrocarbons such as petrol, diesel, engine oil, and hydraulic fluids, around industrial machinery, construction site equipment, refueling stations, and automotive repair and servicing. Its robust construction and durable materials stand up to rough handling and treatment, and built-up dirt and debris can be removed by pressure washing.
