How do I use Proov?
With Proov, confirming successful ovulation from the comfort of your home has never been easier. Here’s how you can Proov in just four steps:

1. Pee: Collect first morning urine in a clean, dry container.
2. Dip: Place the strip into the urine sample until you start to see urine coming up the test window (5-10 seconds). Lay flat.
3. Wait 5: Minutes that is! And your results are in. Positive tests have one line and negative tests have two lines.
4. Plan: If your tests are positive throughout the test window, you have confirmed successful ovulation that cycle. If all or some of your tests are negative during the test window, it could indicate lack of ovulation or suboptimal ovulation. You now have powerful information to help plan what’s next.

How often do I need to test with Proov?
In one cycle, you will test with Proov five times – conveniently the amount of test strips in a 1-cycle pack! First, you’ll use one Proov test the day after your period ends. We call this a baseline test and it will be negative. Baseline tests are used to show you what a negative test looks like for you (because every woman and cycle is different!) and allows you to decipher between positive and negative results later in your cycle.

Next, you’ll begin testing for peak fertility using the tracking method of your choice – LH tests, cervical mucus monitoring, or BBT, for example. Once you get a peak fertility reading, you’ll count 7 days (day 1 being the day after peak) and test with Proov daily on days 7, 8, 9, and 10 after peak. We like to see four positive tests during this testing window.

Visually tracking your Proov results and PdG levels over several days is simple with the available Proov app (free download available for Android and iOS). Once downloaded, simply input the date of your last period and the app will direct you when to test with Proov. After taking a test, snap a pic and upload it to the app for a visual log and representation of your PdG and other hormone levels over time.

If all of your Proov tests are positive during the testing window, you have confirmed successful ovulation and ovulatory issues likely aren’t preventing you from conceiving. With knowledge that your ovulation is good to go, you can turn to other factors that may be hurting your chances at conception.

However, if all or some of your Proov tests are negative, this could be a sign of suboptimal or lack of ovulation.
