The Shuttle TNT Leg Press, manufactured by Shuttle Systems, is the company's Training 'n' Therapy machine. It provides a range of exercises from light rehabilitation to explosive plyometrics and leg press, using progressive elastic resistance in a supine, non-weight-bearing position, so one system can serve patients at very different stages of a therapy program.
The TNT supports closed-chain protocols and jumping protocols for developing explosive power, including less-than-body-weight plyometric training that emphasizes the eccentric phase of overspeed training. The padded kickplate and the non-weight-bearing position protect joints and the spine on impact.
