Find answers to commonly asked questions below.
-
What fireman tools are in this collection?
This collection is the Flame Fighter hand tool range for the fire service: dry wall hooks and New York roof hooks, forcible entry tools, dead blow hammers, cable cutters and axe handles, all working tools rather than gear bags or apparel.
-
What are dry wall hooks used for?
Dry wall hooks are overhaul tools used to pull ceiling and wall material, open up voids and move debris while checking for hidden fire. They are the most numerous tools in this collection because trucks carry several lengths for different reaches.
-
What handle and length options do the hooks come in?
Hooks are listed from 2 feet up to 14 feet, in straight handle and D handle versions, so a department can match handle style and reach to the apparatus and the task. The 14-foot FL Series New York roof hook adds a gas shut-off feature at the head.
-
What forcible entry tools are included?
Forcible entry options include the round handle knurled forcible entry tools in 24-inch and 30-inch sizes, a 24-inch cable cutter for cutting cable and light material, and replacement axe handles in fiberglass with rubber grip.
-
Who buys these tools?
Fire departments and municipal agencies outfitting engines, trucks and stations, and training programs that need the same hooks and entry tools their crews use on the fireground.
