A patient lift is a mechanical device (manual hydraulic or electric) that safely transfers individuals who cannot bear weight from bed, chair, toilet, or floor using a sling, preventing caregiver back injuries.

How do you use a patient lift?
Position the lift base under the bed/chair āĆĆ lower the spreader bar āĆĆ place the sling under/around the patient āĆĆ attach sling loops to the bar āĆĆ slowly pump/raise the lift āĆĆ move the patient āĆĆ lower gently into the new position.
