Jorgensen Labs Darvall Cozy Warm Air Blankets: Forced Warm Air Patient Warming from Pre-Warming to Recovery
Darvall Cozy warm air blankets, supplied by Jorgensen Labs, are engineered to warm veterinary patients safely and efficiently at every stage, from pre-warming through surgery and into recovery. Used together with Darvall Cozy heated breathing circuits, they help prevent critical post-induction heat loss and reduce the risk of hypothermia in surgery.
The range covers surgery under blankets for cats and small dogs and for medium and large dogs, a surgery over blanket for medium and large dogs, and kennel blankets for single door and double door kennels. The kennel blankets pre-warm patients in only 40 minutes, half the time of recovery rewarming, and connect securely to a kennel door adapter.
The anatomical design hugs the patient so warming is conductive as well as convective, while engineered air pillows and a low surface air flow spread heat evenly. According to the manufacturer, rewarming of hypothermic patients is twice as fast when heated circuits are combined with forced warm air blankets, and warmer patients recover faster with improved surgical outcomes.
