Jorgensen Labs TPLO Locking Plate 2.7mm (Left): Anatomic Stabilization for Canine Cranial Cruciate Ligament Repair
Cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) rupture is one of the most common orthopedic pathologies in canine patients, requiring rigid internal fixation to achieve successful post-operative biomechanical stability. The Jorgensen Labs TPLO Locking Plate 2.7mm Left is a specialized veterinary orthopedic implant designed specifically for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy procedures on the left stifle of small-to-medium breed dogs. This plate provides rigid construct stability, allowing for early limb usage and optimal bone healing.
Crafted from high-strength, biocompatible surgical titanium, this plate features an anatomically contoured profile tailored to the medial aspect of the proximal canine tibia. The integrated locking screw technology creates a stable fixed-angle construct, reducing the compression against the periosteum and preserving regional vascularization. The precision-engineered screw holes accept standard 2.7mm locking and cortex screws, offering veterinary surgeons the versatility required for reliable, rigid fixation during reconstructive orthopedic procedures.
Key Benefits:
- Anatomical Left-Contoured Design: Pre-shaped specifically for the proximal medial left tibia to minimize intraoperative bending and shorten surgical duration.
- Fixed-Angle Locking Technology: Threaded plate holes lock with screw heads to form a stable construct, reducing the risk of screw loosening or loss of reduction.
- Periosteal Blood Supply Preservation: Limited-contact underside design minimizes surface contact with the bone, protecting local vascularity and accelerating osseous integration.
- Biocompatible Titanium Construction: Manufactured from premium surgical titanium to provide high tensile strength, lower modulus of elasticity, and superior biocompatibility.
- Optimized Hole Configuration: Accommodates both 2.7mm locking and dynamic compression cortex screws for tailored intraoperative fixations.
