Freemotion EPIC Plate Loaded Leg Press – Commercial Lower Body Station
The Freemotion EPIC Plate Loaded Leg Press is an institutional-grade strength station designed to build explosive lower-body power while mitigating joint shear forces. Engineered with a proprietary four-bar linkage mechanism, the EF218 guides the lower body through a natural, biomechanically correct arc that reduces knee strain and isolates the quadriceps, glutes, and hamstrings under extreme training loads.
Constructed from heavy-duty 11-gauge steel with an electrostatic powder-coat finish, this unit is built for demanding high-traffic environments including collegiate varsity weight rooms, military bases, and commercial health clubs. Featuring a high-traction Line-X® coated foot platform, a dual-sided safety locking lever, and pre-drilled bolt-down holes, the EF218 delivers maximum user stability, rapid entry and exit, and long-term facility safety.
Key Benefits:
- 4-Bar Linkage Biomechanics: Replicates natural ankle and knee articulation to decrease patellar shear stress while maintaining target muscle activation.
- Line-X® Anti-Slip Platform: Heavy-textured Line-X® coating provides high-friction footing to eliminate foot slippage during maximum load sets.
- High-Capacity Weight Loading: Engineered to support up to 900 lbs (408 kg) total load capacity with dual load bars positioned for convenient loading and egress.
- Dual-Side Safety Locking Lever: Features an intuitive release and engagement mechanism accessible from either side to ensure operator control throughout the full range of motion.
- Industrial Steel Construction: Built using 11-gauge structural steel tubing finished with a durable powder coating for extreme scratch and chip resistance.
- Spinal Support Seating: Four-position adjustable backpad and padded seat reduce spinal compression and isolate lower-body force output.
